Optimi is looking for qualified, passionate, and adaptable Facilitators/Tutors to join our Workplace team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering quality teaching and training, supporting learners, and contributing to the development and upliftment of adult learners through AET programmes. This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of learners.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Teaching diploma or degree
• Relevant teaching/training experience (preferably in AET and/or relevant learning areas)
• SACE registration (compulsory)
• Assessor certificate (advantageous)
• Moderator certificate (advantageous)
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Basic computer literacy
• Any additional training-related qualifications will be advantageous

DUTIES

• Prepare and deliver structured lessons
• Provide remedial support where required
• Coach and mentor learners effectively
• Assess learner competency in relevant learning areas and levels
• Adapt teaching methods to meet learner needs
• Maintain effective communication with learners, management, and support teams
• Demonstrate empathy and support learner development
• Promote skills development and upliftment through AET programmes
• Attend required training sessions and meetings

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be flexible and adaptable
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to work with adult learners and demonstrate patience

The positions are based in Cape Town (CPT) and KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).
